..........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................what. the. ________ [favorite word.]
is this real?
okay, for y'all who don't know what this show is, it's obvi a little take on the tv show "The Voice". There's 4 celebrities sitting in chairs that aren't facing the stage. well, these 4 celebrities are apparently looking for love. but they're doing it "blindly". someone goes & gets people who they believe could be eligible bachelorettes for these 4 guys and they each one by one come onto stage & pretty much sell themselves. if the girl sounds interesting to the guy, he'll turn his chair around. if more than one guy turns his chair, she gets to pick who she wants. sounds interesting yea? well, let me give you a scenario. & by scenario, i mean, let me explain every single girl on that show & the basics of what they all say.
girl walks on stage, and by walks, i mean dances with her invisible pole.
girl speaking: "hi i'm ______(insert whatever name). i like to drink. i like to party. i have a rockin' hot body. i'm sleazy, which conveniently rhymes with easy--MEANING i will do you on the first date. i'm desperate."
okay. that wasn't exactly what was said, but anything that was said pretty much encompassed that sort of thing. literally every girl that is chosen for this show, has a PERFECT bod. in essence, these girls are all gorgeous [which kind of defeats the purpose of the men choosing blindly], however, they look like hookers. i don't know if fox is putting all that make up on them or what, but woah. calm yourselves down.
ANYWAYS. to the point.
isn't it ridiculous how much people feel the need to sell themselves these days based off of looks, or materialistic possessions. it sickens me the lack of respect all of these girls have for themselves that they'd sit there on a stage in front of the entire nation & say things in hopes to arouse the 4 men sitting in front of them, giving them permission to see them merely as what they are rather than who they are. nothing screams love connection quite like that.
yea, being attracted to someone is important, but you're going to end up old & wrinkly anyways, so you sure as heck better have a stronger foundation than just what each other looks like.
okay. off my soap box.
g'day.
1 ounces of lovin'
Yes, heather and I saw this last night and I said... "they are basically just pimping out these girls to the celebrities". Quite stupid if you ask me.
